My intentions were good....

For our anniversary I wanted to have this cool weekend planned. I wanted to go to Sedona, get a real nice room and then go on a horseback ride. It's too hot to do that at this time of year. I know Craig doesn't do to well in the out doors. Obstacles really at times get in our ways of doing what we want to do. Sometimes for the better. What we really ended up doing was getting a room close by to home. Craig planned to go get the room early, buy me flowers for the table and have some rose petals laid across the floor. I guess I ruined that idea because I wanted to surprise him and I took off work earlier than planned. I wanted to leave as soon as possible so we could begin our few days together...alone.

We went to the hotel room I took a little nap while Craig studied. We went to Massage Envy and we both got a massage. That was so relaxing. I recommend it to everyone. I would love to get a massage more often.

After that I drove Craig back to the hotel. While he listened to a lecture I went and got my nails done. After my nails I stopped by and relieved the Day Care provider for Jessie and waited until my mom arrived. My mom stayed with the kids overnight. Ashlee and Cody wanted to stay by themselves with Jessie and Preston but we didn't feel comfortable just because of Jessie's disability. If Jessie was a typical child I believe we would have let them stay by themselves.

When my mom finally arrived I went back to the hotel. Just in time to0 because Craig was done with school. At this time I was starving so we decided to go to Outback Steak House. After dinner Craig surprised me and took me to Kay Jewelers. Guess what he surprised me with....If you didn't guess right then I will tell you...He upgraded my center diamond of my wedding ring. I didn't go up to a full karate only 5/8ths. That was plenty big for me.

We then left the mall and went back to the hotel. I was feeling a little sore from the massage so we went down to the jacuzzi for a little while. We got tired of that and went back to our room. We ordered a movie. It was nice to watch a movie without any interruptions.

At this time it was getting late and we started to get tired. We went to bed and noticed how quiet it was. In many ways it was nice but in many ways it was too quiet. We missed the sounds of the children yelling, fighting and laughing. We even missed the sounds of the dogs barking.

Over all I had a wonderful anniversary! Craig treated me like a queen. Anything I wanted he gave and did for me. This anniversary he made it all about me. He wouldn't let me do anything for him.

I am very blessed to have found someone like him.He may be rough around the edges, but he has a big heart. He has come a long way in life and I am grateful for the man he has turned out to be.The last 17 years has been wonderful and I am looking forward to being with him 4-ever.
