This day was dedicated to dental appointments. It started at 6:45 am. Yes I did say AM. That is what time we started our first appointment. Working in the medical field I am glad I don't work at that office. That's way too early for me.
My first victim was Cody. He had a root canal on one of his teeth. Next for him we will have to see an orthodontist because his mouth is small. Some of his teeth are trapped and haven't even come down yet. So looks like braces for him.
Next victim was Jessie. We took her back to the Oral Surgeon. This appointment was to take the bar guard and wires off her top teeth. We did get some bad news with her teeth too. Her top 2 front teeth are still very loose. The surgeon said they have a scale of 1-3. 1 being not too loose and 3 being really loose. Guess what grade she got...a 3!. The surgeon feels we will need to pull the top two. That means we will either need implants or a bridge. The only problem with this is she's still too young for the implants. We will need to wait until she stops growing and that's about when she's 14-15 year old. If we go for the bridge then we need to wait too because some teeth are still baby teeth. We will return in a month for the final verdict.
Third victim was Ashlee. Back in April we got her invisalign. She wanted those instead of braces. This visit was to go and get more trays. Every two weeks she exchanges trays for new ones. There are about 17 trays total. She's on the 7th tray. Surprisingly they are working. She takes them out only to eat and to brush her teeth. If anyone decides to get invisalign learn from Ashlee's mistake and don't boil them to clean them. She did last night and they melted. Good thing it was the last day for that set because it would have cost her $100 to replace that one set of trays.
Last victim was myself. I just had my teeth cleaned. But I have an old filing that needs a crown. Other than that the dentist said I have remarkable teeth and keep up the good work. I was thinking I have to because between Craig and the kids teeth they are putting me in the poor house.

I am so sad for you....I hate spending money at the dentist!
And today I got a crown at the dentist!!! Yayyy more money spent at the dentist. Fortunately, we have 2 insurances so we only have to pay our annual deductible of $50 for mine, the primary, Jody's, has a $100 lifetime deductible, yes lifetime so only one time.
