i can't believe this sweet little boy...

told his father "I hate you and go to hell" tonight. It all started when Preston was talking and he was talking very loudly while Craig and I were watching the news. Craig asked him to be quiet because we couldn't hear the news report. I saw Preston's face begin to boil and thought he's up to something. That's when he blurted out the words...

I refrained from laughing and thought ut oh you are dead meat buddy! Preston received his punishment and then was sent to bed. Craig and I thought that took a lot of guts saying that to Craig's face. I am sure the others have said it but behind our backs and under their breath.

My family is very open and they speak what's on their mind. Which can be a good thing and a bad thing. They just need to know what they can say it and when they can say it.

Oh the joys of parenthood!

Good times! I hate moments like that! My oldest has issues with saying stuff like that so know you are not alone.

Right Jody, you are not alone. My mouthy boy likes to say "live with it" very often and it very much bothers me and angers me. But I still love him to pieces!

By the way, I just noticed you work for a cardiologist. Just a side note, my 5-year-old had open heart surgery just after birth. He was born with Transposition of the Greater Arteries. The nurses and surgeon called it an arterial switch. AMAZING what can be done for children these days. Not long ago we would have just been out of luck. I am grateful.

Gee, how did I miss this earlier? Almost 2 weeks ago... but I had to stifle a laugh when reading it. Disrespectful, yes... I always find the most inappropriate things funny. Hopefully Preston has recovered by now.
