boy am I glad I did. Let me tell you why and for what...every year for the Super Bowl my boss puts together a football pool. Based on the score at the end of each quarter someone has a chance to win 125 dollars.
I am having a hard time explaining the way the pool works because I didn't quite understand how to play anyways. I figured why not participate in their friendly game. It was only a 5 dollar buy in per square. So I invested 35 dollars. I figured why not. What are the odds for me to win?! I have more odds winning if I played then if I didn't play. I was also thinking easy come, easy go.
While watching the Cardinal and Steelers play about the 4th quarter I received a text from a co-worker. She told me "good job, you did well." I couldn't figure out what she was telling me. What did I do so good that she would text me a sweet compliment. Then the light bulb came on and I remembered the football pool. I printed out my sheet of squares and told Craig all about what happened. He reviewed the stats and told me I won...not only did I win for the 2nd quarter but I won for the 3rd quarter. I ended up winning 250 bucks.
Now I know this is a form of gambling and No I am not off to Vegas, but hey I had to try it out...just once.
