life was so busy...

last week I was too tired to post anything, but then again I thought I had nothing to post.

Craig was of course was out of town, I was at work and the kids where home doing who knows what. It was Thursday afternoon around 3 pm. I had to work a patient into my schedule because she was in CHF (congestive heart failure). The doctor come up and advised me we need to do a direct admit to the hospital at the same time I received a call from Ashlee. I had to ignore Ashlee's call because I was busy getting the patient into the hospital and of course the doctor was standing right next to me. Ashlee kept calling and then Craig was calling. I thought what the heck!! I can't take their calls because I am handling an emergency of my own.

Craig then text me, why don't I answer the phone??? Hannah our oldest dog bit Crue on his nose and Crue is bleeding. When I finally got a chance to call Ashlee she was worried because she could not stop the bleeding. I then told her to take Crue to the Vet and I will meet her there. I guess Crue tried to take a bone away from Hannah and she snipped at him.
After I finally took care of my own patient and they were off to the hospital I left for the Vets. While I was driving I was thinking how much is this going to cost me now?? When I arrived this is what I came too...

Crue wanted either Ashlee or I to hold him. The good thing was he didn't need stitches so that wasn't going to cost me, but the bill was $189.00. They wanted $40 for a pain killers that was in an injection. While holding him he didn't look like he was in that much pain so I opted out of that fee. So it brought my total down to $149. Which was for the office visit, antibiotics, cleaning fee, and an anti-inflammatory w/pain medication (that is another reason why I said no on the injection.) Of course you have to pay in full! No payment plan! No insurance to help absorb the cost. It made me think...boy am I glad Ashlee is choosing this profession for her career!

After said and done I wished I got home first, looked at the site, cleaned it up myself and went on our marry way!! I would have not have gone to the Vets, but what can you do when the damage was done??
My motto is...................
Over Come, Adapt and Move On!!
