1 down...8 more to go...

We have lived in this house for almost 2 years now. When we were looking for a house to buy I wanted to find a house that was in the same school district. I didn't want to up root our children again. The kids were tired of making friends then we move then they would have to start all over again.

This house was the right size for our family plus it has a pool. The only down side is the rooms are all painted different colors. At first I didn't mind it because it will be easy to paint. Well time has come to do something about it so I decided to take one room a month and fix it up the way I like. So I chose the hall bathroom.

Before...

Hard at work...

I know I look scary, but what can I say ...I had to tackle a big project!

End results...

That is the end result of our busy day! I love the feeling when the project is done and seeing what we can accomplish.

My goal for this year is to have the rest of my house looking nice. I just need to take it one day at a time and then by this time next year my projects will be complete and then another one to start! Maybe the back yard??!! But hay that's for next year!

It was a nice, pleasant, busy day, but i had fun! Thanks to my mom and Ashlee for all their help! Love to both of you.

It looks so nice! And I love the "tackle one room a month" philosophy. I should try that. Especially with closets... I think I will tackle one closet a month. I like that. Thanks for the idea!
Doesn't it feel so good to finish a project? I love that feeling. And bathrooms are small, so they are quick and easy. Good job!

Dear Jody: Wow! It looks beautiful! Painting is such a huge project, but the end result is always amazing. I really love the way you fixed it up.
