where did time go???...

I finally opened up my blog and noticed a whole year has past! How did that happen? For the past few months I've been wanting to start up bloggin again. What really helped me to decide was my great friend Janda. I was over at her house getting my hair done and we were talking about blogging. She really inspired me to start back up. Thank you so much Janda for being YOU! I've missed her tons and look forward to building my friendship with her.

Well, so much has happened the past year! We've moved to a new beautiful house. My kids are all 1 year older. Ashlee is 18 and graduated from high school. She is currently looking for work and hoping to start College next semester.

Cody turned 16 and he's a junior in high school. He had to attend a new school due to our move. It's been hard on him. The up side is this year is the first year for juniors which means next year will be the first year for seniors. So his class will be the first class to graduate from Camp Verde High School. Not sure if Cody cares about that but I think it's cool.

Jessie turned 13 and is doing well. Still he peace maker of our house hold. She sure has grown though. I believe she's as tall as I am. She helps keep my girlish figure, well, not like I have an awesome figure but I definitely need to keep my strength to lift her.

Last but not least, Preston. He turned 11 and is enjoying his new school. He has met some great kids that are in his primary class and school class. He enjoys scouts and is doing real well.

As for Craig and I we are doing well. Craig's company was bought out by HP, so know he is working for HP. We are blessed he still has a job and he's doing well. He still travels and at times it can be a bummer but once again, blessed he is working.

I believe that's pretty much what we've done for the past year. Here's to a new year and hopefully many more posts to come.

what to say...

I've been horrible about keeping up with my blog. Most of the time I don't know what to say! Not to mention if I did have something to say I've said it on Facebook. I figure then why would anyone want to hear it again.

In the past few months there have been so many things happen to my family and at times I wonder why? Most of the time I may never know why but I just need to go with the flow. I am also amazed how the "whys" end up.

With some of the trials that we have been going through Craig and I figured it's time for our family to move. When we decided it was time things have fallen right in to our laps. Today we put an offer on a great house for a great price. We feel like we are stealing it. We don't even have to wait until our house is for sale. We get to move in (that's if it's they approve or our offer) and then sell our house or maybe rent it out.

I am always in aww of how much our Heavenly Father knows what we are going through. I believe he is always looking out for us and knows at each moment what is best for us. Whether if we are going through hard times or not. He is constantly teaching us how to over come adversity! At least I hope I've over come this adversity and have taught my children the same principle.

Now one of my New Year's resolution is to write more often in my blog. Even if I don't feel I have anything to say. I am currently not keep a journal and this should at least be some type of journal. I want my children to see my thoughts, concerns, joys, just about anything I am feeling so they have some type of history.

So ready or not here I come! I might just have a small post of "wow, what a hot day it was today." but at least it will be a post!

can you say ouch...

Preston has had terrible allergies ever since he was a baby. Every time the weather changes his allergies appear. Today we took him to an Allergy specialist (also because my mom works for the specialist. His appointment took awhile because they tested him right away.

First the doctor asked a bunch of questions. One of the questions was do you get headaches. Preston told the doctor yes. The doctor asked when. Preston said every Monday. Craig was like WHAT?? Yeah, I get headaches every Monday was Preston's response. Then the doctor asked where on your head do you get the headache. Preston then took his hand and circled all around his head and said here. That's my boy...I think I get Monday headaches too.

Here are a few pictures of Preston going through his test.

They started with a scratch test...

You can see on this picture he is beginning to react to something. We find out on another day what he is allergic too..

This next picture is just a simple breathing treatment. They are checking to see if he has asthma too.

Craig left the office with 4 prescriptions which 2 are not covered by insurance, but I am grateful I have connections. Over all Preston was a trooper and a perfect little patient.

old school...

Around lunch time Preston was complaining he was hungry. I was busy preparing potato salad for dinner and told Preston to make a sandwich. His reply was "Mom, eating sandwiches is old school." Since when is eating sandwiches are old school and what the heck is Subway. Preston loves Subway so I guess when he wants to eat there again I can tell him, "Eating sandwiches is old school."

another year older...

for my baby boy....Cody...fifteen years ago I was sitting on the couch waiting and not knowing when the blessed day would arrive. The coolest thing that happened 15 years ago tonight was when Ashlee, at the time was 2, climbed up on my lap, laid her head down, patting my tummy she said, "Mommy, Cody is coming tomorrow." When I started to have contractions I knew that Cody was going to be born because Ashlee told me so. She knew it and sure enough Cody was born on September 19, 1994, at 8:10 am.

Cody was always smiling and he was very active. The higher he climbed the happier he was. I had to get him out of the trees at the age of 16 months. This boy started walking...well running at the age of 8 months. There was no stopping this boy. I prayed every night to his guardian angels for watching over him daily.

I am so grateful for Cody. He is a sweet boy even though at times he gets a little mouthy. He is thoughtful of others and their feelings. He has a big soft heart!

Happy Birthday Son! I love ya!!

pool safety...

now that we have a new puppy I have been a basket case about the pool. Cooper is so small he fits between the bars. I've been driving everyone and myself nuts worried that one day I would come home to him floating in the pool. When we got Jett he was always falling into the pool. Most of the time he fell in the pool while someone was out by him. There was one time someone wasn't out there and he was totally lucky. Cody went outside after we were looking all over for him and found him on the steps just hanging there. He was one luck DOG.

Plus it's a bonus to keep all dogs out to keep the poop in one area. So we went to home Depot and bought some chicken wire and put it around our fence. Who would have thought I needed to be pool safe for our dogs.

Now my kids are all grown up and pool safe...I have my little pups all pool safe! No more driving other nuts and myself...
