sweet memories...

Last weekend I went up to one of my favorite Aunt's funeral. The funeral was up north near Show Low, Arizona. I drove up with Ashlee, Jordan (Ashlee's boyfriend) and my mom. We had a great trip up there. I wanted to show Ashlee my first house I ever lived in. It's such a small 2 bed room house. Very cute too. My mother told me the day they brought me home from the hospital my dad just got running water into the tiny house. So, yes there was electricity when I was born, but no running water. Show's you how old I am getting. LOL.

don't mess with mother nature...

Need I say any more?? Pictures are worth a 1000 words...

Neighbors tree

fell on our old house

Craig looks like he is up in the tree but really the tree is resting on our house

View from inside the garage

We had some great neighbors who called us to let us know there was a tree on our house. We are very grateful that no one was hurt. It looks to us that the roof will need to be replace but it's not half as bad as the house down the street. The tree went right through their house. What a wild and crazy storm we had.

little gypsy in my blood...

The other day I drove by a house we used to live in when the kids were little. As I drove by it brought back so many fun memories. Then I started to think of all the other places we used to live and realized that Craig and I sure have moved a lot in the 19 years of being married!

We got married in July 1991...So here is what I have come up with.

01. July 1991-Collins St, Tarzana, CA
02. Feb. 1992- Lockwood Ct., Simi Valley, CA
03. June 1992-Rosalie St, Simi Valley, CA (moved in with my parents)
04. Oct. 1992-Nelda St, Simi Valley, CA
05. May 1993-Rosalie, Simi Valley,CA (back w/my parents, Craig joined the Army)
06. April 1994-Junction City, KS
07. Oct. 1994-Hardy St, Tempe, AZ
08. April 1996-Roberts St, Tempe, AZ
09. April 1997-Maple, Tempe, AZ
10. Oct. 1997-Roberts St, Tempe, AZ
11. Sept. 1999-Inverness St. Mesa, AZ
12. Aug. 2004-Spring View Terrace Ct, Balwin, MO
13. Oct. 2005-Rock St, Gilbert, AZ
14. Aug. 2006-Yucca St, Mesa, AZ
15. April 2007-Mulberry St, Mesa, AZ

Yes that is correct...we moved 16 times and 4 different states! unbelievable. The last address will be our final destination, unless my kids put me in an old folks home.

where did time go???...

I finally opened up my blog and noticed a whole year has past! How did that happen? For the past few months I've been wanting to start up bloggin again. What really helped me to decide was my great friend Janda. I was over at her house getting my hair done and we were talking about blogging. She really inspired me to start back up. Thank you so much Janda for being YOU! I've missed her tons and look forward to building my friendship with her.

Well, so much has happened the past year! We've moved to a new beautiful house. My kids are all 1 year older. Ashlee is 18 and graduated from high school. She is currently looking for work and hoping to start College next semester.

Cody turned 16 and he's a junior in high school. He had to attend a new school due to our move. It's been hard on him. The up side is this year is the first year for juniors which means next year will be the first year for seniors. So his class will be the first class to graduate from Camp Verde High School. Not sure if Cody cares about that but I think it's cool.

Jessie turned 13 and is doing well. Still he peace maker of our house hold. She sure has grown though. I believe she's as tall as I am. She helps keep my girlish figure, well, not like I have an awesome figure but I definitely need to keep my strength to lift her.

Last but not least, Preston. He turned 11 and is enjoying his new school. He has met some great kids that are in his primary class and school class. He enjoys scouts and is doing real well.

As for Craig and I we are doing well. Craig's company was bought out by HP, so know he is working for HP. We are blessed he still has a job and he's doing well. He still travels and at times it can be a bummer but once again, blessed he is working.

I believe that's pretty much what we've done for the past year. Here's to a new year and hopefully many more posts to come.

what to say...

I've been horrible about keeping up with my blog. Most of the time I don't know what to say! Not to mention if I did have something to say I've said it on Facebook. I figure then why would anyone want to hear it again.

In the past few months there have been so many things happen to my family and at times I wonder why? Most of the time I may never know why but I just need to go with the flow. I am also amazed how the "whys" end up.

With some of the trials that we have been going through Craig and I figured it's time for our family to move. When we decided it was time things have fallen right in to our laps. Today we put an offer on a great house for a great price. We feel like we are stealing it. We don't even have to wait until our house is for sale. We get to move in (that's if it's they approve or our offer) and then sell our house or maybe rent it out.

I am always in aww of how much our Heavenly Father knows what we are going through. I believe he is always looking out for us and knows at each moment what is best for us. Whether if we are going through hard times or not. He is constantly teaching us how to over come adversity! At least I hope I've over come this adversity and have taught my children the same principle.

Now one of my New Year's resolution is to write more often in my blog. Even if I don't feel I have anything to say. I am currently not keep a journal and this should at least be some type of journal. I want my children to see my thoughts, concerns, joys, just about anything I am feeling so they have some type of history.

So ready or not here I come! I might just have a small post of "wow, what a hot day it was today." but at least it will be a post!
